Sādri is a town in the Pali district of Rajasthan, on the plain just below the western slopes of the Aravalli Range. Its older centre is a dense pattern of narrow lanes and closely built houses, with newer streets spreading outwards along the roads, and the hills rising to the east give the surroundings a clear sense of direction.
The town is known as the nearest settlement to Ranakpur, whose celebrated fifteenth-century Jain temple, built of white marble with a famous forest of carved columns, stands in a valley of the Aravallis a short distance away. Many visitors to the temple pass through Sādri, and the town has its own Jain heritage as well.
