Tai Koo Map Poster & Print
Tai Koo lies on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island, between Quarry Bay and Sai Wan Ho. Its name recalls the Taikoo Dockyard and sugar refinery run by the Swire group, whose industrial sites once occupied this stretch of shoreline. From the 1970s the dockyard land was redeveloped into Taikoo Shing, one of the largest private housing estates in Hong Kong.

The estate is arranged as clusters of towers around podiums, internal roads and open spaces, a sharp contrast to the older, irregular streets elsewhere on the island.
