Thaba-Tseka is a district capital in the mountains of central Lesotho, set high on a plateau among the Maloti ranges. The town itself is small. On the map, a modest cluster of streets and buildings sits in a large expanse of open highland, and a few roads snake away along ridges and down into valleys.
The map's character comes from the terrain rather than the town. Roads here cannot run straight. They switch back up slopes and follow contours.
