Timashyovsk lies in Krasnodar Krai, north of Krasnodar, on the flat, fertile plain of the Kuban. From above the town is orderly. Long straight streets meet at right angles, and the blocks are filled with low houses and gardens, the typical plan of a former Cossack stanitsa.
