Palm groves
The date groves surrounding the town are divided into small plots by paths and channels. On the map they form a fine, intricate pattern around the built-up centre.

Tolga Map Poster & Print
Tolga lies in the Ziban, a group of oases west of Biskra, at the northern edge of the Algerian Sahara. On a map, the town is a cluster of streets surrounded by palm groves, and then the land opens into near-empty desert. The line between cultivated ground and bare terrain is sharp, and it gives the composition its structure.
The palm groves are the reason the town exists. Tolga is closely associated with Deglet Nour dates, a prized variety grown across the Ziban. Seen from above, the groves are split into small plots by walls, paths and irrigation channels. They form a fine, patchwork pattern that is quite different from the streets of the town itself.
Roads lead out across the flat land toward Biskra and the other oases, running straight over the plain. A Tolga map poster shows the town, the groves and the desert together, with the desert's emptiness framing the patterns of cultivation. It is a quiet image of how people have built a home around water in a dry landscape.

Oasis edge
The line where the groves stop and the desert begins is very distinct. It gives the map a clear outer boundary and a strong sense of place.
Roads across the plain
Straight roads connect Tolga with Biskra and the neighbouring oases. They cross the open land in long, clean strokes that contrast with the detail of the groves.

For families from the Ziban and anyone who knows its dates and palm groves, this map keeps a distant landscape close. The contrast between the dense oasis and the open desert makes a strong, graphic poster.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a date. The warm Sand style suits the setting especially well, and Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Blueprint are also available.
