Yagry Map Poster & Print
Yagry is an island district of Severodvinsk, where the Northern Dvina delta meets the White Sea. On a map it is a flat strip of land cut off from the mainland city by a narrow channel, and a bridge carries the road across. Housing blocks stand in tight rectangles near the crossing. Further toward the open water, pine woodland and dunes take over.
The island's shipbuilding and repair yards give much of its shoreline a hard geometry: long slipways, docks and basins cut sharply into the land.
