Yendi is a town in the Northern Region of Ghana, set in open savanna country east of Tamale. Yendi is the traditional capital of Dagbon, one of the oldest kingdoms in the region, and home to the Gbewaa Palace, seat of the Ya-Na, the paramount ruler of the Dagomba people.
