Zuunmod Map Poster & Print
Zuunmod, also written Dzuunmod, is the capital of Töv Aimag, the province that surrounds Ulaanbaatar. Its name means a hundred trees. It sits in a broad valley below the southern slopes of Bogd Khan Uul, and the road from the capital crosses this range to get there.
From above, the settlement is compact. A handful of wide streets form the centre, with public buildings and apartment blocks set in a regular pattern.
