Brahmaputra floodplain
South of town the land flattens towards the Brahmaputra. Channels, wetlands and farmland appear there as wide open space, a calm edge to the denser streets.

From above, Abhayāpuri doesn't follow a strict grid. Its streets loosen outward from a compact centre into lanes lined with homesteads, bamboo groves and ponds. The Brahmaputra floodplain lies to the south, and forested hills rise nearby. On a map, the town looks like a cluster of short roads held together by a few main routes.
The town is in Bongaigaon district of lower Assam and is closely tied to the former Bijni estate, whose royal family kept a residence here. That history can still be read in the layout: a handful of older roads lead towards the centre, and newer housing has filled in around them over the decades, while water tanks and fields still cut into the built-up area.
An Abhayāpuri map poster turns this loose pattern into a quiet study in line and space. Main roads come out as firm strokes, village lanes as fine threads, and the ponds and paddy land as open pale ground. The result shows a small town still woven into its surrounding countryside.

Ponds and tanks
Small water bodies are scattered among the houses, as they are in many Assamese towns. They show up as soft blank shapes that break up the street pattern.
Nearby hills
Low wooded hills stand close to the town. They give the plain a sense of scale, and they explain why roads bend around the higher ground instead of running straight.
