The town grew where several roads come together, and that junction forms the densest part of the map, where most buildings are concentrated.

Abomsa Map Poster & Print
Abomsa is a small town in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, in the highland country east of the central plateau. From above, the town is compact: a few main roads meet at its centre, lined with homes, shops and compounds, while the rest of the street network is loose and irregular. Beyond it, farm plots and tracks spread across the uneven land.
Little is written about Abomsa beyond the region, and the map tells its story plainly. It shows a place that serves the surrounding rural area, with roads leading out to villages and fields. The terrain around it is not flat, so the tracks bend and branch rather than running in straight lines.
An Abomsa map poster is a portrait of a small highland town drawn with the same care as a big city. A clear centre, a few defining roads and a soft transition into the countryside give it a calm composition. For those with a personal connection, that simplicity is exactly the point.

Irregular lanes
Away from the main roads, lanes and paths run at varied angles, forming an organic pattern rather than a planned grid.
Surrounding farmland
Around the town, thin tracks cross fields and uneven ground, connecting Abomsa to the rural communities that depend on it.
