Straight main avenues
The central streets run in long, direct lines through the town. They give the map a clear backbone, and the smaller residential streets hang off them in orderly rows.

Ağrı Map Poster & Print
Ağrı sits at around 1,600 metres on a wide plateau in Turkey's far east. On a map the town looks compact and fairly regular. Its main avenues run in long straight lines, and newer housing blocks spread out towards the surrounding fields. Around it, empty ground takes over quickly, and the edges of the urban area stand out clearly against the blank plain.
The province takes its name from Mount Ağrı, the peak known elsewhere as Ararat and Turkey's highest mountain, which rises further east near the Iranian border. The town itself is a regional centre for administration and trade in a landscape of long winters and high pastures. The road network reflects this role, with routes leaving the town towards neighbouring provinces in several directions.
An Ağrı map poster shows how a plateau town grows: a tight core, a few strong arteries and a clean outline. There are no coastlines or dense medieval lanes here. The drawing depends on rhythm, with parallel blocks, wide streets and open space around the settlement, and that suits the minimal black-and-white treatment well.

Edge of the plateau
Built-up blocks end abruptly where farmland and open steppe begin. On the poster this gives the town a sharp silhouette against a largely empty surrounding field.
Roads leading outward
Several regional roads leave the centre and head across the plateau. They reach the frame edges as thin lines and link the compact town to the wide landscape around it.

ඇයි Ağrı
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
People from Ağrı often live far from home, and a map of its streets is a quiet way to keep the town's plan close. The layout is simple enough to read at a glance and specific enough to be recognised immediately by anyone who grew up there.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
