Planned residential sectors
The industrial city's housing districts are self-contained neighbourhoods with curving internal streets, parks and schools. Wide arterial roads separate them, and they read clearly as a grid of cells.

Al Jubayl Map Poster & Print
On a map, Al Jubayl is really two places side by side. The older town, once a small fishing and pearling settlement, sits on the Gulf coast with compact blocks and a waterfront corniche. To the north stretches Jubail Industrial City, laid out from the late 1970s with broad highways, residential districts arranged in orderly sectors and vast plant sites along the shore.
A royal commission built the industrial city as a base for petrochemical and heavy industry, and today it ranks among the largest industrial complexes in the world. Its port, desalination facilities and refineries give the coastline an engineered look, with straight edges and harbour basins where sand flats and shallow lagoons once dominated.
An Al Jubayl map poster captures the contrast between the irregular old town and the deliberate geometry of the planned city, framed by the pale expanse of the Gulf. It makes a striking composition for engineers and families who have lived in the compounds, or for anyone drawn to a city designed almost entirely from scratch.

Engineered coastline
Port basins, jetties and reclaimed land give the shoreline sharp angles and long straight edges. The result is a distinctly man-made profile against the soft shapes of the Gulf's shallow waters.
The old town
The original settlement keeps a denser, less regular street pattern near the water. It recalls the town's earlier life, before industrial development transformed the coast to the north.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Many people spend years of their working lives in Al Jubayl, often far from home, and a map of its streets becomes a quiet record of that time. The planned layout also makes a handsome graphic on a wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a company, a compound or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Blueprint suits a city built around engineering. The digital files are $9.
