Historic centre
The oldest streets form an irregular knot at the heart of the town. Their narrow, converging lines differ clearly from everything built later.

Algete Map Poster & Print
Algete lies in the north of the Community of Madrid, in gently rolling country toward the Jarama valley. From above, the town has two distinct textures. There is an older, irregular centre where the streets converge, and around it newer housing estates with curving streets, cul-de-sacs and large blocks, plus industrial estates on the outskirts.
Like many municipalities around Madrid, Algete grew quickly in the second half of the twentieth century as families moved out of the capital. Farmland around the town still appears as open space, and main roads connect it with the motorways into the city. The result is a clear picture of how a traditional Castilian village turned into a modern commuter town.
An Algete map poster shows that growth in a single view. The tight historic core sits at the centre, with successive rings of development around it and open land at the edges. It is a practical portrait of a place many people call home, drawn in calm lines.

Residential estates
Around the centre, newer neighbourhoods follow curving streets and closed loops. They fill much of the map with a softer, more modern pattern.
Open edges
Beyond the built area, fields and open land take over, crossed by a few roads toward Madrid and neighbouring towns. That space frames the town neatly.
