Aloha Map Poster & Print
Aloha is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, set between Beaverton and Hillsboro west of Portland. It has no city government of its own, yet about fifty thousand people live here, making it one of the larger unincorporated places in the state. On a map it looks entirely suburban, with curving residential streets, dead ends and small parks.
Tualatin Valley Highway runs roughly east to west through the area, and a railway line runs alongside it. The residential streets form a very different pattern. Subdivisions built in different decades have their own loops, courts and crescents, and they fit together like pieces from separate sets.
An Aloha map poster brings out that contrast. The arterial roads form a straight grid, and the neighbourhood streets inside it curl and branch. Parks and school grounds leave open patches across the frame. On paper it reads as a clear portrait of how Pacific Northwest suburbs were put together.

Cul-de-sac pattern
Residential subdivisions form looping streets and short dead ends, producing an intricate texture that becomes striking when drawn in fine black lines.
Arterial grid
Major roads cross at roughly regular intervals, framing the neighbourhoods into large blocks that give the composition its underlying order.

Aloha is home without a city hall, and a map of its streets gives it a clear identity on the wall. It works well for a first house, a family moving away, or anyone who grew up among these streets.
Set a custom title, perhaps your street or the year you moved in, and adjust the subtitle and coordinates. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
