Andéranboukan Map Poster & Print
Andéranboukan is a locality in the Ménaka Region of eastern Mali, close to the border with Niger. On a map, it is a loose cluster of compounds, open spaces and sandy tracks, surrounded by the dry plains of the Sahel. There is no dense grid here. The pattern is scattered, shaped by pastoral life, and the tracks leading out across the land are often more prominent than the streets themselves.
The surrounding region is mainly pastoral, with herding communities moving between wells and grazing areas according to the seasons. Detailed information on the settlement is limited, so the map is the most honest way to portray it: a small group of dwellings, a network of paths and a vast open landscape around them. Water points and seasonal watercourses, where mapped, provide rare features in the terrain.
An Andéranboukan map poster is very spare, with a small central cluster surrounded by generous empty space and a few thin lines crossing it. That minimalism is part of its appeal. It gives a sense of distance and scale, and for people from the region, it is a rare chance to see home represented on a wall.

Desert tracks
Thin sandy tracks radiate outward across the plain toward wells, pastures and neighbouring settlements, creating the main lines of the composition.
Open Sahel
Most of the map is open land with very few features, a wide empty field that gives the design a quiet, spacious and almost abstract quality.

For people from the Ménaka Region, and for families living far away from it, a map of Andéranboukan is a rare personal object. Its sparse design looks calm and deliberate on a wall and makes a meaningful gift.
