Contour-led streets
Roads in ‘Anjarah curve with the hillsides, so the street plan reads as a set of looping, uneven lines that trace the relief of the Ajloun highlands without drawing any elevation.

‘Anjarah Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, ‘Anjarah is shaped by its terrain. The town sits in the highlands of northern Jordan, where roads climb and bend around hillsides instead of running straight. Streets branch off the main routes in short, irregular spurs, and building plots thin out quickly where the slopes steepen, leaving the edges of the map loose and open rather than sharply bounded.
The surrounding Ajloun district is one of the greener parts of the country, known for olive groves and patches of oak and pine woodland. On a black-and-white print, that countryside shows up as quiet space between the lines, with winding lanes linking ‘Anjarah to neighbouring villages and to the town of Ajloun a short distance away. The pattern is modest, which makes the shape of the land easy to read.
‘Anjarah is best known for the shrine of Our Lady of the Mountain, a Catholic pilgrimage site tied to the tradition that Jesus, Mary and the disciples rested in a cave here. It was one of the places in Jordan designated for pilgrimage during the Jubilee year 2000. A ‘Anjarah map poster keeps that story in view through the simple outline of the town that holds it.

Open highland edges
Built-up blocks give way quickly to farmland and woodland, so the town fades into open space at the margins of the print rather than ending at a hard boundary.
Roads toward Ajloun
Winding routes connect ‘Anjarah with Ajloun and nearby villages, and they add long, flowing strokes that tie the compact centre to the wider hill country around it.

For families from ‘Anjarah, and for visitors who came to the shrine of Our Lady of the Mountain, the map is a reminder of a particular hilltop and the roads that lead up to it. The lines are sparse and calm, and they suit a hallway, a study or a quiet corner of a home.
You can change the title and subtitle, add a date such as a pilgrimage, a wedding or a move, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as $9 HD digital files or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
