Băileşti Map Poster & Print
Băileşti is in Dolj County in southwestern Romania, on the broad lowland plain north of the Danube. The terrain is almost perfectly flat and intensively farmed, and the town's plan reflects this. Long, straight streets run for kilometres, lined by houses with deep plots and gardens behind them. It is a typical pattern of the large villages and towns of the Romanian plain.
Băileşti has long been known as a market town. Its fairs have historically drawn traders from across Oltenia, and it is still a local agricultural hub. On the map, the centre is marked by wider streets and public buildings, while the rest of the town follows a remarkably consistent linear layout.
A Băileşti map poster shows that clarity: parallel streets and long blocks, with vast fields beyond them divided into strips, all in flat country. There are few curves in the composition, which gives it an unusually strong, graphic quality.

Market centre
The centre, with wider streets and public buildings, reflects the town's role as a market for the surrounding farmland. It is where the pattern of the map is densest.
Danube plain fields
Outside the town, very large fields are laid out in long rectangular strips. They fill the frame with a precise agricultural geometry.
