The port basin
Straight quays and wide container yards around the river mouth form the most geometric part of the map, a block of hard edges set against the softer curve of the coast.

Bajos de Haina Map Poster & Print
Bajos de Haina sits on the Caribbean coast just west of Santo Domingo, where the Haina River widens and runs into the sea. From above, the strongest shapes are industrial: long quays, rectangular storage yards and the straight channel of one of the busiest ports in the Dominican Republic. Behind them, residential streets spread over the low ground in irregular blocks, bending around the river and the roads that feed the harbour.
The river gives the map its structure. It arrives from the interior in loose curves, passes under road bridges and then straightens toward the port mouth, splitting the town into two banks. Highways running along the coast toward the capital and inland toward San Cristóbal cut clean diagonals through the denser fabric, and you can read the town's growth in the way smaller streets branch off them.
A Bajos de Haina map poster keeps all of this in black and white, which suits a place defined by infrastructure rather than postcard views. Piers, breakwaters and roads become pure graphic line, and the shoreline gives the composition a firm edge. It is a portrait of a town that has long worked for the rest of the country, moving goods between the island and the sea.

Haina River
The river enters from the north in gentle bends before meeting the sea, dividing the town and giving the composition a natural line to follow from top to bottom.
Coastal highways
Main roads run parallel to the shore toward Santo Domingo and inland toward San Cristóbal, stitching the neighbourhoods together with long, confident strokes across the sheet.

People who grew up here, worked at the port or have family in the neighbourhoods often want something more personal than a harbour photograph. A map shows the whole town at once, the river, the docks and the streets you actually walked, in a form that sits comfortably in any room.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a printed matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
