Barberà del Vallès Map Poster & Print
Barberà del Vallès is in the Vallès Occidental area, between Sabadell and Cerdanyola, north of Barcelona. It developed quickly in the twentieth century as an industrial and residential town. On the map, this shows as a mix of apartment blocks, industrial estates and major roads packed into a fairly small area close to the valley of the Ripoll river.
Motorways and main roads, including the AP-7, cross the municipality and cut it into distinct sections. Large industrial buildings form broad, simple shapes, while the residential areas have finer grids. Among all this modern development is the Romanesque church of Santa Maria de Barberà, known for its medieval wall paintings.
A Barberà del Vallès map poster shows how infrastructure shapes a contemporary town. Ramps, interchanges and rail lines draw strong curves across the image, and the town's neighbourhoods sit between them like separate pieces. It is a very different map from a medieval old town, and in black and white it has a strong, almost architectural graphic quality.
