The Stift church
The collegiate church and its surroundings form the historic centre. The older streets bend around the slightly raised ground where the religious community was founded centuries ago.

Bassum Map Poster & Print
Bassum is a market town in the Diepholz district of Lower Saxony, south of Bremen, in the flat to gently rolling country of the North German Plain. Its outline on a map is compact. A historic core sits at the centre, residential streets spread outward in loops and crescents, and beyond them fields, hedgerows and scattered farms surround the town on every side.
The oldest landmark is Stift Bassum, a religious community for women founded in the ninth century, whose church still stands on raised ground in the town. The streets curve around this centre instead of forming a grid, a sign of how long the town has grown around the church. The railway between Bremen and Osnabrück runs past in a straight line and gives the map a strong diagonal.
A Bassum map poster suits the scale of the place. You can read the dense, irregular heart, the tidier postwar residential streets and the open farmland beyond all at once, so the print works like a small portrait of how a north German town grew. It is a modest subject, and that is exactly why it works in a minimalist style.

Railway diagonal
The Bremen–Osnabrück railway passes the town in a long, straight line. It is a crisp geometric stroke that contrasts with the softer curves of the residential streets.
Surrounding farmland
Beyond the built-up area, country roads lead out to villages and farms across open fields, which gives the edges of the map a sparse, rural calm.

ඇයි Bassum
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Bassum is the kind of town people carry with them: where they went to school, got married, or caught the train to Bremen every morning. A map of it is personal rather than touristic, and that usually makes it more meaningful to hang on a wall.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a street name or a wedding date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files in six sizes, with no watermark.
