Bemowo Map Poster & Print
Bemowo lies in the western part of Warsaw, and its map carries traces of the city's military past. A large part of the district was once the Babice airfield, and open space and long straight lines from that era still appear among the newer housing. Fort Bema, part of the nineteenth-century ring of fortifications around Warsaw, sits in parkland with its moat still outlined in water.
The Military University of Technology occupies a large campus in the district. Since 2019 the M2 metro line has extended towards Bemowo, linking it more closely to the centre. Neighbourhoods such as Jelonki and Boernerowo add different textures, from post-war estates to the small streets of a garden suburb among the trees.
A Bemowo map poster reveals how a city absorbs its old military land. Fort outlines, airfield space, estates and forest edges fit together in one frame. The mix of geometric and green forms makes a more varied picture than most residential districts.

Former airfield
The Babice airfield once covered a large part of the district. Its open space and straight edges still shape the layout of the surrounding streets and estates.
Boernerowo streets
The garden suburb of Boernerowo has small, curving streets set among trees. On the poster it forms a delicate, lower-density pattern beside the larger blocks.
