The Granicus river
The Biga River meanders across the plain close to town. Its loose curves show on the print as the one organic line among the roads and field boundaries.

Biga Map Poster & Print
Biga lies inland on the peninsula that carries its name, in the northeastern part of Çanakkale province. Seen from above, the town is a compact centre surrounded by a looser ring of newer blocks. Beyond them, a broad agricultural plain stretches north toward the Sea of Marmara. The ground is mostly level, so the streets spread out evenly and there are no steep slopes to bend them.
The river running past the town is widely identified with the ancient Granicus, where Alexander the Great won his first major battle against the Persian army in 334 BC. On the map today it is a modest channel curving through fields. It cuts a gentle line across the otherwise orderly layout of roads and parcels.
A Biga map poster shows that contrast between the tight urban core and the open farmland around it. Main roads leave the centre toward the coast and neighbouring towns like spokes. In black and white, the cultivated plain becomes calm negative space that frames the town.

Compact town core
The older centre is a knot of short, closely spaced streets. It makes the densest part of the map, and newer districts open outward from it.
Roads to the coast
Main routes run north across the flat countryside toward the Marmara shore. They draw long, straight strokes that tie the town to its wider landscape.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
For anyone from Biga, or anyone whose family roots run back to this corner of the Troad, the town's outline is instantly familiar. It is also a quietly historic place, where a well-known ancient battle took place near a very ordinary-looking river.
You can personalise the poster with a family name, a date or the coordinates, and print it in one of five styles. Paper and Sand bring out the agricultural setting, while Noir makes the street network stand out.
