Björlanda Map Poster & Print
Björlanda lies on the western side of Hisingen, the large island that forms the northern half of Gothenburg. It sits between the city and the sea. From above, residential streets curve among rocky outcrops and patches of woodland, and the ground gets rougher and more open toward the coast.
The shoreline is broken into small bays, inlets and headlands, with islands and skerries just offshore. It is the typical west-coast landscape of smooth granite and shallow water, and on a map it produces an intricate edge that contrasts with the regular development inland.
Säve airfield, once Gothenburg's second airport, lies nearby, and its runway is a clear straight shape in the landscape. A Björlanda map poster frames this edge of the city: winding roads through rock and forest, quiet neighbourhoods and a coastline broken into many small pieces.

Rock and forest
Granite outcrops and woodland separate the residential areas. Roads curve around them, so the map has a loose, organic texture.
Säve airfield
The nearby airfield's runway draws a long straight line across the landscape. It is one of the few geometric shapes in the area.
