Bugulma Map Poster & Print
Bugulma lies in the southeast of Tatarstan, on the Bugulma-Belebey Upland, a landscape of low hills and valleys. The map shows an older core with a fairly regular grid of streets, bent here and there by ravines and the small river that crosses the town, surrounded by later districts of apartment blocks.
The town grew as a centre of the Tatarstan oil industry in the twentieth century, and roads and rail lines connect it to the oilfields of the region. Beyond the built-up area, fields and patches of forest fill the undulating terrain.
Bugulma is also known through literature: Jaroslav Hašek, author of The Good Soldier Švejk, served here in 1918 and later wrote satirical stories about the town. A Bugulma map poster captures its orderly streets and gentle hills in a clean, understated design.

Soviet-era districts
Around the core, microdistricts of apartment blocks appear as looser arrangements of buildings and internal roads, clearly distinct from the older street grid.
Rolling surroundings
Country roads and rail lines weave through the upland, curving around valleys and linking Bugulma to the oil towns of southeast Tatarstan.
