The border line
A single straight boundary runs across the map and separates two street patterns. Calexico's orderly blocks sit to the north, and Mexicali spreads out to the south.

Calexico Map Poster & Print
Calexico sits at the southern edge of California's Imperial Valley, where the border cuts a straight line across the map. North of that line the town is laid out as a regular grid of blocks and avenues. South of it, the streets of Mexicali carry on in a different pattern. From above, the two cities read almost as one settlement split by a single ruled stroke.
Around the town, the land is divided into large rectangular fields. Irrigation canals and farm roads run in long straight lines, and they give the surrounding valley a precise, geometric texture. The names Calexico and Mexicali are both blends of California and Mexico, which says something about how closely the two places have grown together since the early twentieth century.
A Calexico map poster shows that relationship clearly. The compact American grid, the border crossings and the fan of Mexicali streets beyond all sit on one sheet. Printed in black and white, the fields turn into a pale patchwork and the urban core becomes a dense knot of lines. The result is a quiet, graphic portrait of a border town in a farming valley.

Valley field grid
Beyond the edge of town, the Imperial Valley breaks into large rectangular plots. Canals and section roads outline them, and they read as a soft, even pattern around the streets.
Crossing points
The ports of entry show up as places where roads converge on the border. They are small nodes on the map, but they define how the town moves and connects.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Calexico means a lot to people whose families, work or daily routines cross the border. A map of the town keeps both sides in view, and that makes it a meaningful gift for anyone whose life spans the line or who grew up in the valley.
You can personalise the poster with your own title, a subtitle such as a date or family name, and the coordinates line. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand works well with the desert setting, and Blueprint brings out the grid.
