Catarina Map Poster & Print
Catarina lies in the interior of Ceará, in north-eastern Brazil, in the semi-arid sertão. From above, the town is a small, compact grid centred on its main square and church, with low houses on regular blocks. Around it the land opens into caatinga scrub, cattle pasture and a network of unpaved roads, with small reservoirs scattered across the countryside.
In the sertão, water shapes everything, and even on a map you can see how settlements, roads and fields relate to the few rivers and dams that hold water through the long dry season. Towns like Catarina serve as local centres for the surrounding farms and villages.
A Catarina map poster sets a tidy town grid against a wide, sparse landscape. The contrast is striking in black and white: dense short lines at the centre, then long, faint tracks leading out across the open land. It is a clear, simple image of a place in the heart of the Brazilian north-east.

Reservoirs and açudes
Small dams and reservoirs appear as irregular shapes across the countryside, vital stores of water in the semi-arid climate.
Sertão tracks
Unpaved roads run out from town in long, uneven lines, connecting it to farms and outlying communities in the caatinga.
