Hillside grid
Cerro Azul's streets start out as a grid but bend around the hills. Blocks change size and angle as the ground rises, giving the map a restless, irregular rhythm.

Cerro Azul Map Poster & Print
Cerro Azul lies in northern Veracruz, in the Huasteca region inland from Tuxpan. The town sits among low, wooded hills, and from above its streets follow a loose grid that bends and breaks where the terrain rises. Outlying neighbourhoods reach out along the roads, and the countryside around is a mix of pasture, orchards and patches of tropical vegetation.
The town's name is tied to oil. In 1916 the Cerro Azul No. 4 well came in as a massive gusher and went on to become one of the most productive wells ever recorded, putting the area at the centre of Mexico's early petroleum boom. Traces of that industry still mark parts of the surrounding landscape.
A Cerro Azul map poster pairs the irregular street pattern of a hill town with the history of a place that once mattered to the whole oil world. In black and white the curving roads and dense centre make a lively composition. It is a meaningful print for families from the Huasteca and for anyone interested in the story of Mexican oil.

Oil-field legacy
The famous 1916 gusher made Cerro Azul a name in petroleum history. On the map, roads and sites on the outskirts still echo the industry that shaped the town.
Huasteca countryside
Beyond the town, roads wind through a green, hilly landscape of farms and orchards. Their sparse lines surround the dense centre and give the poster room to breathe.

ඇයි Cerro Azul
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
A map of Cerro Azul honours a town whose story is bigger than its size. It suits families whose parents or grandparents worked in oil, people from the Huasteca living elsewhere, and collectors of industrial history who like a clean, modern design.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the year a family arrived, and keep the coordinates line as a quiet detail. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Six print sizes are included in the $9 download, or you can order a framed print.
