Cloppenburg Map Poster & Print
Cloppenburg is the district town of the Oldenburger Münsterland in western Lower Saxony. The landscape around it is almost completely flat. Fields, farm roads and small woods cover the countryside, and the town is a compact cluster of streets in the middle of it.
The small Soeste river winds past the town centre. Main roads lead out in several directions and form a rough star around the core. Cloppenburg is best known for its Museumsdorf. Opened in the 1930s, it is one of Germany's oldest open-air museums and has rebuilt historic farmhouses and barns from across the region.
A Cloppenburg map poster shows a clear, practical town plan. The centre is compact, the roads spread outward like spokes, and the farmland pattern fills the space around them. The absence of hills keeps the composition simple.

The Soeste
The small river winds past the town centre. Its gentle curve is the main natural line in an otherwise straight-edged street plan.
Radial roads
Roads leave the centre toward neighbouring towns in several directions. They divide the countryside into wedges and give the map a clear star shape.
