The Chattahoochee edge
The river forms the entire western boundary, a wide ribbon with a state line down its middle, giving the poster a strong vertical axis and a sense of two cities facing each other.

Columbus Map Poster & Print
Columbus was laid out in 1828 at the falls of the Chattahoochee River, the head of navigation for boats coming up from the Gulf, and the river still defines the map. The city's western edge is the water itself, with Phenix City, Alabama, directly opposite, and a series of bridges stitching the two states together across a channel of rocks and shoals.
Downtown, known locally as Uptown, follows the original plan: a regular grid of unusually wide streets running back from the river bluff, with Broadway as its spine. Beyond it the city loosens into curving suburban roads that spread north and east, while a large military reservation fills much of the land to the south.
Two details are often retold here. John Pemberton, the pharmacist who later created Coca-Cola in Atlanta, lived and worked in Columbus for years, and the removal of two old mill dams turned the river into one of the longest urban whitewater courses in the country. A Columbus map poster shows the river, the grid and the bridges as one clear composition.

Uptown grid
The 1828 plan survives as evenly spaced blocks and broad avenues near the river, a tidy rectangle of streets that stands apart from the looser suburbs around it.
Riverwalk and bridges
A long riverside path follows the east bank past the historic district, and several road and pedestrian bridges cross to Phenix City, each a clean horizontal stroke across the water.

ඇයි Columbus
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Columbus draws people through the army post, the river and its university, and many leave after a few years with a real attachment to it. A map of the Uptown grid and the Chattahoochee is a quiet reminder of a posting, a degree or a family home.
The title and subtitle are yours to change, as is the coordinates line, so the poster can name a street or mark a year. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
