Compound core
The centre is made of closely packed compounds and narrow lanes. On the map this becomes a fine, dense texture, very different from a planned grid.

Darazo Map Poster & Print
Darazo is a town in Bauchi State in northeastern Nigeria and the seat of the local government area of the same name. The surrounding country is Sudan savanna: wide, fairly flat land with scattered trees, farmland and seasonal watercourses that fill during the rains and shrink in the dry months.
From above, the town is a dense core of compounds and narrow lanes. A few wider roads leave it in different directions and connect it to neighbouring settlements and the rest of the state. As the map moves outward, the built area breaks up into smaller clusters and field tracks.
A Darazo map poster keeps this simple structure clear: a close-knit centre, radiating routes and the open plain around them. In black and white, the fine texture of compounds and paths becomes a pattern of its own. It shows how a Sahelian market town organises itself around movement and exchange.

Radiating roads
A few main roads lead outward toward other towns in Bauchi State. They form the strongest lines on the poster and give it a clear sense of direction.
Open savanna
Beyond the town the map opens into plain, marked only by tracks and seasonal streams. This open space frames the settlement at the centre.
