Dhanpuri Map Poster & Print
Dhanpuri lies in Shahdol district in eastern Madhya Pradesh, in the coal-bearing country of the Sohagpur field. The town does not form one compact core. It spreads in clusters along roads that connect residential colonies, markets and mining areas. Railway lines and access tracks cross the landscape, and patches of trees and open ground separate one neighbourhood from the next.
Coal mining has shaped the town. Much of the employment and the layout of the settlement grew up around collieries run by South Eastern Coalfields, and neighbouring towns such as Burhar are closely linked to Dhanpuri. The wider region has plateaus, forest and river valleys, and the town sits within that setting rather than apart from it.
A Dhanpuri map poster captures an unusual kind of urban shape. Instead of a clear centre, it shows a network of roads and settlements woven through the land, with the planned lines of colony streets beside the looser paths of older villages. Seen in monochrome, it looks less like a city grid and more like a line drawing of a working landscape.

Scattered settlement
Neighbourhoods, markets and villages are spread across the ground in clusters, giving the town an open and decentralised outline.

People who grew up in a mining colony often feel strongly about the place, even when it rarely appears on anyone else's map. This poster gives Dhanpuri the same careful treatment as any capital, which makes it a meaningful gift for a family that has moved away.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates yourself and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 and print locally, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
