The main line
The Delhi–Mumbai railway crosses the map as one unbroken stroke. It is the most confident line in the composition, and the town grows up around it.

Dohad Map Poster & Print
Dohad sits in the far east of Gujarat, close to where the state meets Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. A common local explanation of the name is that it comes from two borders meeting here. On the map the town is a compact knot of lanes. Roads leave it in several directions, and the long straight line of the railway runs past its edge.
The railway shapes the plan more than anything else. Dohad is a stop on the main line between Delhi and Mumbai, and the tracks cut a firm diagonal through the drawing. Close to the tracks the streets are irregular and tightly packed. Further out, newer blocks follow a looser, more regular pattern, and the gaps between them open onto farmland and low ground.
Dohad is also known as the birthplace of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, born here in 1618 while his father's camp passed through the region. A Dohad map poster keeps to the present-day town: the rail corridor, the crowded centre and the roads fading into open country. In monochrome, those few strong lines are enough to recognise it.

Crowded old centre
The oldest streets form a tight tangle of short lanes. In black and white this reads as a dense patch of texture against the open ground around the town.
Roads to three states
Highways leave town toward Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the rest of Gujarat. They spread from the centre like spokes and fix Dohad at a meeting point of regions.

ඇයි Dohad
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Some people choose Dohad because their family comes from here. Others remember changing trains at the junction. Either way, the frame holds a place that lies on the way to many others. A title in Gujarati or English, a family name or a meaningful date can go above the coordinates line.
The plan works well in Classic black and white, and the warmer Paper and Sand styles give the plain surroundings a softer look. Noir and Blueprint are the two other styles. A $9 digital file includes all six print sizes as 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs, or you can order a printed poster.
