FELDA Chini Map Poster & Print
FELDA Chini is a settlement in Pahang, Malaysia, created under the Federal Land Development Authority, the national programme that since the 1950s has resettled families on new agricultural land. Settlements like this have a distinctive map: a planned residential core of straight streets and similar-sized plots, surrounded by vast plantation blocks.
The plantations around Chini are mostly oil palm, and from above they form a patterned landscape of estate roads and field divisions stretching into the distance. The settlement lies near Tasik Chini, a freshwater lake system in the region, whose irregular shores and surrounding forest provide a natural contrast to the planned lines of the estates.
A FELDA Chini map poster shows a very specific chapter of Malaysian history through geography alone. For families who settled here or grew up here, it captures home, school and the working landscape of the estates in a single clear design.

Plantation roads
Estate roads divide the surrounding oil palm land into large blocks, forming a network of long lines across the outer parts of the poster.
Tasik Chini
The nearby lake system, with its winding shores and forest cover, adds natural, irregular shapes that contrast with the geometry of settlement and estates.
