Freiberg am Neckar Map Poster & Print
Freiberg am Neckar lies in the Ludwigsburg district, north of Stuttgart, on the Neckar River. The town was formed in the early 1970s when the villages of Beihingen, Geisingen and Heutingen were merged, and on a map these original cores are still visible as separate knots of streets.
The Neckar curves past on the town's side, and the land around it rises to slopes where vineyards are part of the scenery, as in many places along this stretch of the river. Newer residential areas have filled in the space between the old villages over the decades.
A Freiberg am Neckar map poster shows how a modern town can grow out of several older ones. The irregular village streets, the later planned neighbourhoods and the broad bend of the river combine into a composition with several centres rather than one.

Three village cores
The historic centres of Beihingen, Geisingen and Heutingen show up as denser clusters of winding streets within the newer, more regular fabric.
Vineyard slopes
Terraced and sloping land near the river is given over partly to vines, which on the map appear as open space among the street patterns.
