Valley-floor streets
Residential lanes fill the flat ground between the hills in a dense, even mesh. They stop suddenly where the slopes begin, which gives the town a crisp outline.

Fuchū Map Poster & Print
Fuchū lies just east of central Hiroshima, and on a map the boundary is hard to see: its streets carry straight on from the city's. The town is built on the narrow lowland between steep wooded hills. Houses, rail lines and roads fill the valley floor completely, while the slopes around them stay almost empty, so the edge between town and hillside is sharp.
The town is best known as the home of Mazda, whose headquarters and large factory complex are here. The plant appears on the map as a wide block of big rectangular buildings and long internal roads, very different from the fine grain of the residential streets around it. The two sit side by side, which says a lot about how the town developed.
A Fuchū map poster shows a place defined by its terrain. The dense streets in the valley, the large industrial area and the empty hills around them create strong contrast even in simple black and white. It is a compact, well-structured composition that rewards a closer look at how a town can fit into very little flat land.

Industrial district
The Mazda complex forms a broad area of large buildings and service roads. Against the small housing blocks around it, it is the most distinct shape on the map.
Surrounding hills
Wooded ridges wrap around the town and appear as open space. They frame the built-up area and make the valley shape easy to read at any poster size.
