Gangxia Map Poster & Print
Gangxia is a neighbourhood in Futian District, at the heart of Shenzhen. From above, it presents one of the sharpest contrasts in the city: a compact urban village with narrow, closely packed lanes sits right beside the broad, orderly avenues and large super-blocks of the Futian central business district, a short distance from the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Shenzhen grew from a set of villages into a major city within a few decades, and places like Gangxia preserve that history in their street pattern. The village blocks, built plot by plot, create a fine-grained mesh of alleys, while Shennan Boulevard and the planned grid around it show the scale of later development. Metro lines run beneath the district.
A Gangxia map poster captures this collision of scales in a single frame. The dense texture of the village and the generous spacing of the business district read as two different drawings placed side by side, which makes this a strong graphic composition in black and white, especially at larger formats.

Shennan Boulevard
This major east–west artery runs through Futian and gives the map a strong horizontal line, separating districts and anchoring the composition.

Nearby, the planned business district lays out wide avenues and large rectangular blocks, a deliberately open counterpoint to the tightness of the village.
