Grenchen Map Poster & Print
Grenchen lies in the canton of Solothurn at the foot of the Jura mountains, on the wide plain that runs down to the Aare. The town is known for its watch industry: from the nineteenth century onwards it grew around watch and movement factories, and it remains an important site for Swiss watchmaking today.
On the map Grenchen stretches along the lower Jura slope, with streets that rise to the north towards the forest and spread out more regularly across the flat land to the south. Railway lines cross the town, and further south lies the regional airfield, a long straight strip near the river plain.
A Grenchen map poster traces a town built by industry and precision, between the steep green hills and the open fields of the Aare valley. It suits watchmakers, people from the town and anyone connected with the Swiss Jura.

Factory quarters
Industrial buildings, many linked to watchmaking, form larger block shapes among the residential streets, a visible trace of the town's economy.
Airfield and plain
To the south, the regional airfield's runway and the open land towards the Aare add long straight lines and calm white space.
