The car plant
The factory site on the town's western edge forms a huge, sharply outlined block, the largest single shape on the map and a landmark of local working life since the 1960s.

Halewood Map Poster & Print
Halewood lies in the borough of Knowsley, on the southeastern fringe of Liverpool. Seen from above, it is a mostly post-war township: curving residential roads, crescents and closes arranged in neighbourhood blocks, with playing fields and green strips between them. The street pattern is gentle and rounded, very different from the tight terraced grid of inner Liverpool a few miles to the northwest.
The town's best-known feature is the large car factory on its western side, opened by Ford in the 1960s and now producing vehicles for Jaguar Land Rover. On a map, its vast rectangular footprint stands out sharply against the softer housing estates. Liverpool John Lennon Airport and the Mersey estuary lie just beyond to the southwest.
A Halewood map poster captures this mix of home and industry. A line of green, the Halewood Triangle country park, follows the route of an old railway and cuts across the town. In black and white the curving estates, the straight factory edges and the open spaces combine into a clear, balanced composition.

Halewood Triangle
A country park laid out along former railway lines forms a green triangle of paths and woodland, a quiet break between the residential neighbourhoods.
Estate crescents
Rounded streets, closes and loops define most of the town, giving the map a soft, looping texture typical of planned post-war housing.
