Valley settlement
Streets and blocks fill the flatter valley floor, so the town takes on a long, contained shape set by the slopes rising on either side.

Houqiao Map Poster & Print
Houqiao is a town in Tengchong, in the far west of Yunnan, close to the border with Myanmar. The country around it is mountainous and heavily forested. On the map, the built area follows the valley floor: streets run along the lower ground, and roads wind up and away through the hills in several directions.
The town is known as a border crossing, one of the ports linking Yunnan with northern Myanmar, and its roads reflect that role. A main route runs toward the frontier, and the town's shopping streets are gathered along it. The wider Tengchong area is known for volcanic landscapes and hot springs, but the map keeps its focus on the streets.
A Houqiao map poster is a portrait of a frontier town shaped by terrain and trade. In simple black lines, the valley town, the switchback roads and the empty mountain slopes make a composition with a strong sense of place. It holds up even for people who have never been to this corner of China.

Road to the border
The main road toward the Myanmar frontier forms the spine of the map. Much of the town's trade and traffic gathers along this line.
Winding mountain roads
Beyond town, roads coil through the hills in tight bends and switchbacks. They add expressive, looping lines to the edges of the composition.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Houqiao is a place people pass through for work, trade or travel as much as a place they live, and a map marks time spent at the edge of the country. It suits traders, travellers and families with ties on both sides of the border.
You can edit the title and subtitle, perhaps adding Tengchong or a year, and keep the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
