River loops
Waterways curve broadly around and past the town, their outlines giving the map its strongest shapes and marking the routes that boats and people still use daily.

Kālia Map Poster & Print
Kālia lies in Narail District in the Khulna Division, in the low, water-laced country of southwestern Bangladesh. The town is small and centred on its market area and administrative buildings, with houses clustered close to the water. Outside the centre, the settlement quickly thins into homesteads, fields and orchards, each village tied to the next by a web of narrow roads and footpaths.
Rivers and channels are the main structure of the landscape here. They wind across the flat ground in wide loops, and roads follow embankments or cross the water on bridges. A Kālia map poster shows this delta pattern at its clearest, with flowing curves of water set against the thinner, more angular lines laid down by people.
Kālia is also an upazila, covering a wider rural area of farming villages around the town. The landscape follows the seasons, with water levels rising during the monsoon and fields shifting from green rice paddies to bare earth after harvest. On the map, this translates into a calm composition of water, scattered settlements and generous open space.

Embankment roads
Roads often run along raised embankments, drawing straight lines across low fields and linking the town centre to the surrounding villages.
Homestead clusters
Villages appear as small groups of buildings surrounded by trees and ponds, scattered across the sheet like islands in a landscape of fields and water.
