Paddy field geometry
Irrigation channels and field roads cut the plain into long rectangles. In monochrome they make an even, almost textile-like pattern across the sheet.

Kampong Sidam Map Poster & Print
Kampong Sidam lies in Kedah, in the northwest of Peninsular Malaysia, on some of the country's flattest and most thoroughly farmed land. From above, the area reads less as a town than as a spread of settlement: houses lined up along roads and canals, with open fields between them. The streets follow irrigation lines and field edges rather than any planned grid.
Kedah is often called Malaysia's rice bowl, and the landscape around Kampong Sidam shows it. On a map the paddy country becomes a pattern of long straight channels and thin roads crossing at right angles, broken by curving rivers and clumps of village housing. The result is sparse and geometric, closer to a drawing than a busy city plan.
A Kampong Sidam map poster shows a place that most maps pass over at small scale. Up close, the lines of road and water have their own rhythm, and the empty space between them matters as much as the streets. It is a good fit for anyone with roots in rural Kedah who wants that landscape on a wall.

Settlement along roads
Homes line the lanes in thin strips instead of gathering in a dense centre, so the built-up area reads as a series of linear threads.
Winding waterways
Natural streams wander through the straight lines of the fields, adding the only real curves to an otherwise rectilinear map.

People hang a map like this for its connection to family and land. It is a quiet picture of the northern plains, and its open composition works well in a hallway or a study.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or the year someone left home, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Every size comes as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
