Kelheim Map Poster & Print
Kelheim occupies a wedge of land at the confluence of the Altmühl and the Danube in Lower Bavaria. From above, the historic centre is an almost rectangular old town with a broad main street, its edges defined by the two rivers and the lines of the former fortifications. Newer districts spread along the valley floor, held in by steep, wooded slopes.
The Altmühl here forms part of the Main-Danube Canal, which enters the Danube at Kelheim, so the map carries both a natural river and an engineered waterway. On the Michelsberg above town stands the Befreiungshalle, a round hall of remembrance commissioned by King Ludwig I. Upstream, the Danube narrows into the Weltenburg gorge, one of the most admired stretches of the river.
A Kelheim map poster reads well at almost any scale. Close in, the old town gates and the tight street pattern come through; pulled back, the meeting of the two rivers and the forested hills make a larger landscape picture. Paper suits the historic character, and Noir makes the water stand out like a drawn channel.

Rectangular old town
The historic core keeps a compact, almost rectangular outline with a broad main street and surviving town gates, a plan that shows its medieval origins plainly.
Michelsberg heights
The wooded hill above town, crowned by the round Befreiungshalle, appears as open, lightly marked ground, with only a few paths winding up toward the hall.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Kelheim is a place people remember for its setting: the boat trip through the gorge, the view from the hall on the hill, the walks along the rivers. A map poster captures that geography cleanly, and the water lines alone make it a satisfying piece to look at.
