Curving estate roads
Crescents, closes and winding residential roads create a looping, organic texture. They give the map a pattern very different from a formal grid.

Kingswinford Map Poster & Print
Kingswinford lies in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, on the western edge of the West Midlands conurbation. From above, the town is mostly a large spread of twentieth-century housing estates, each with its own pattern of cul-de-sacs, crescents and curving roads. Older main roads run through them, with a village centre around the historic core.
To the west the map opens out into green belt and farmland, marking the boundary between the Black Country and the Staffordshire countryside. Kingswinford is part of the area around Stourbridge long associated with glassmaking, and the industry's heritage remains an important part of local identity, though most of the old works have gone.
A Kingswinford map poster shows a suburban landscape with character. Estates from different decades sit side by side, connected by older roads, and open fields and green space appear at the edges. It is a map of the point where an industrial region gives way to the countryside, drawn clearly in black and white.

Historic village core
Older main roads meet around the original centre and link the estates. The layout keeps traces of Kingswinford's earlier village form.
Green belt edge
To the west, housing gives way to fields and open land. The drawing shows a clear boundary where the conurbation ends.
