Kirishi Map Poster & Print
Kirishi sits on the Volkhov River in the east of Leningrad Oblast, where the river runs north toward Lake Ladoga through flat, forested country. From above, the town reads as a single planning idea: broad avenues, regular residential blocks with courtyards, and generous green gaps between them, all set beside the steady line of the water.
The fighting of the Second World War left almost nothing of the old settlement. The front line held along the Volkhov for many months, and the area became known as the Kirishi bridgehead. The town that stands today was built largely from the 1960s onward, which is why its plan feels so unified compared with older Russian towns that grew street by street.
A Kirishi map poster captures that postwar logic well. The housing districts form an orderly pattern near the river, while the large oil refinery to the side appears as a separate world of tanks, pipes and internal roads. Around both, the surrounding woodland and marsh thin the linework out to almost nothing, leaving the town clearly framed.

Planned residential blocks
Rebuilt as a new town in the Soviet era, Kirishi has regular microdistricts with inner courtyards and wide streets, which print as a clean, rhythmic pattern rather than a tangle.
The refinery grounds
One of Russia's larger oil refineries lies beside the town. On the map its circular tanks and straight service roads create a distinctive geometric texture unlike any residential street pattern.

ඇයි Kirishi
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
People who grew up in Kirishi, or worked at the refinery, often recognise the town instantly from its plan: the river, the blocks, the industrial edge. It is a quiet, honest portrait of a place built with intention, and it sits well in a hallway or study.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or the year you moved there, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the engineered character of the town particularly well.
