The main road
A single strong artery runs through the town, linking it west to Mwanza. On the poster it is the boldest line, and the rest of Kisesa's streets branch off it.

Kisesa Map Poster & Print
Kisesa lies a short drive east of Mwanza, along the main road that leads out of the city and around the lake. From above, the town looks like a spine with branches. One strong arterial line carries most of the traffic, and a loose web of smaller tracks reaches out from it into fields and scattered homesteads. The pattern is informal and follows the terrain, not a planned grid.
The country around Mwanza is known for its granite boulders and rounded rocky hills, and they leave clear marks on a street map. Roads bend around them, houses cluster in the gaps between them, and open ground shows where bare rock comes to the surface. Lake Victoria is close by to the north, so the wider view ends in a long, irregular shoreline.
Outside Tanzania, Kisesa is known for the Sukuma Museum at nearby Bujora, which keeps the music, dance and crafts of the Sukuma people, and for long-running community health research in the area. A Kisesa map poster turns this spread-out place into a clean study of lines and open space, with the lake always close at hand.

Granite country
Rocky outcrops typical of the Mwanza region interrupt the street pattern. They leave blank patches and curving detours that give the map an uneven, natural rhythm.
Lake Victoria nearby
The southern shore of Africa's largest lake lies just north of town. In a wider frame, its bays and inlets give the composition a strong, irregular edge.

People hang this map because they grew up here, did fieldwork here, or spent time around Mwanza and want something quieter than a photograph. The plain lines show the town at the scale of daily life: the road into the city, the paths out to the farms, the lake close by.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or the year you arrived, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 set of HD digital files or as a printed poster on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
