Krasnokamsk Map Poster & Print
Krasnokamsk stands on the Kama River west of Perm, where the river has been widened by the reservoir system of the Urals. On a map, the broad water takes up a large part of the frame, and the town sits along its bank with the straight, planned blocks you would expect from a Soviet industrial settlement.
The town grew in the 1930s around a large paper mill, and that origin can still be read from above. Industrial sites and rail spurs sit near the river, while housing districts are laid out in regular rows and courtyards behind them. Forest and open ground close in around the edges.
A Krasnokamsk map poster works mostly through contrast. The smooth, empty expanse of the Kama sits against the orderly grid of streets, with thinner lines of roads and railway heading east toward Perm. It is a restrained composition that matches the character of a town built for work.

Planned residential blocks
Straight streets and rectangular courtyard blocks show the town's twentieth-century planning, with a clear, regular rhythm away from the river.
Paper-mill origins
The town grew around its paper mill in the 1930s. Industrial land close to the water is still one of the larger shapes on the map.
