Reclaimed waterfront grid
The flat strip beside the harbour is laid out in regular blocks. It is a legacy of the 1950s industrial town, and it contrasts with the irregular hillside streets behind it.

Kwun Tong Map Poster & Print
Kwun Tong lies on the eastern side of Kowloon, pressed between the harbour and the hills. From above, the contrast is sharp. Along the shore, a flat strip of reclaimed land is packed with rectangular blocks and wide roads. Inland, the streets climb into housing estates on terraced slopes, and then the built area stops abruptly at the wooded ridges of Kowloon East.
In the 1950s Kwun Tong became one of Hong Kong's first planned industrial towns, laid out on land reclaimed from the harbour. The factory blocks of that era set its regular street pattern. Many have since become offices, and the area is now part of the Kowloon East business district. Today the waterfront has a promenade facing the former Kai Tak runway across the water.
On the map, the elevated MTR line and Kwun Tong Road run parallel to the shore like two strong strokes. The Kwun Tong Bypass traces the water's edge. The Kwun Tong map poster captures this layering of sea, flat industrial grid, steep estates and open hillside, all within a few kilometres.

Parallel transport lines
The MTR Kwun Tong Line, Kwun Tong Road and the bypass run side by side along the shore. They form strong linear bands across the composition.
Harbour and old runway
Across a narrow channel, the long finger of the former Kai Tak airport runway points into the harbour. It gives the waterfront a distinctive frame.

ඇයි Kwun Tong
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Kwun Tong is where many Hong Kong people have worked, grown up in a public housing estate or started a first job in a converted factory building. A map of it is both a practical reminder and a portrait of how the city reshaped its coastline.
Add an estate name, a street or a date to the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates line. Choose from five styles. Noir and Blueprint suit the dense urban grid, and Classic black & white keeps the harbour edge crisp.
