La Rinconada Map Poster & Print
La Rinconada lies on the flat plain of the Guadalquivir just north of Seville. The municipality has two main settlements: the original village of La Rinconada and the larger San José de la Rinconada, which grew along the railway and main road. On a map, they appear as two separate clusters of streets surrounded by a geometric pattern of fields.
The land here has long been farmed, and irrigation has turned the plain into productive agricultural country. The Guadalquivir and its tributaries wind across the area, and the old course of the river shows in curving field boundaries. The municipality's closeness to Seville has made it a place where people live and commute into the city.
A La Rinconada map poster sets the tight street patterns of the two towns against the long, straight lines of irrigation channels and farm roads. The river meanders through it all. It is a map about the relation between town and countryside, drawn in clean lines on a flat surface.

Irrigated field pattern
Straight farm roads and channels divide the plain into large, regular parcels. The result is a geometric background to the towns.
Guadalquivir meanders
The river and its old channels curve across the landscape and soften the grid of fields with long, flowing lines.

La Rinconada is home to families rooted in the land and to people who chose it for its quieter pace beside Seville. Its map captures both, towns and fields together.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand feels right for the Andalusian plain.
