Leninogorsk Map Poster & Print
Leninogorsk grew up in the 1950s with the development of the large oil fields of south-eastern Tatarstan, and it received town status in 1955. Its map shows the result of that planned growth: broad main streets, regular residential blocks from the Soviet decades and public squares laid out with a clear sense of order.
The ground here is not flat. The town lies in the hilly country of the Bugulma-Belebey Upland, and its outer streets bend around slopes and small river valleys. Beyond the built-up area the map shows a network of tracks and service roads crossing fields and woods, many of them tied to the oil industry that shaped the town.
Before it became a town, the settlement was a village called Novaya Pismyanka, and the step from rural past to industrial present is part of what makes the plan interesting. A Leninogorsk map poster brings these layers together, showing the ordered centre, the newer districts and the hills that frame them.

For families whose parents or grandparents came to work in the oil fields, Leninogorsk is the story of a town built almost from scratch. A map of it records that effort and the streets where those lives unfolded.
