Lexington Map Poster & Print
From above, Lexington looks like a wheel. Old turnpikes run out from the downtown grid in every direction, towards Richmond, Nicholasville, Versailles, Paris and Georgetown. New Circle Road ties them together in a loop, and Man o' War Boulevard traces a wider arc to the south. The spokes and rings give the city a clear shape that is easy to read even at poster scale.
The outer edge is just as distinctive. In 1958 Lexington drew the first urban growth boundary in the United States. Because of it, the dense street pattern ends fairly abruptly and gives way to the long fence lines and farm lanes of the Bluegrass. On a Lexington map poster, that line between suburb and horse farm shows up as a clear change in texture.
The city calls itself the Horse Capital of the World, and the map backs this up. Keeneland's oval sits to the west, and the Kentucky Horse Park lies north along the interstate. Nearer the centre, the University of Kentucky campus fills a large block of curving drives and quads south of downtown. Since 1974 city and county have been governed as one, which is why the map reads as a single place.

Urban Service Boundary
The 1958 growth limit keeps the built-up area compact. Beyond it, the map turns quiet, with sparse roads, long drives and the open field pattern of the surrounding horse farms.
University of Kentucky
A large campus of looping drives, green quads and stadium footprints just south of downtown. Its looser layout stands out from the regular grid around it.

ඇයි Lexington
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Lexington is a place people tend to stay loyal to: university graduates, racing families, and anyone who has driven the Paris Pike past stone fences. A print of the wheel of roads around downtown is a quiet reminder of that attachment, and it looks good in a study or hallway.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a graduation year or the date you moved. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
